In 2006, a North American company attempted to purchase USD1,200,000 in China IC Chips, unfortunately it suffered a 90% rejection rate and the actual purchase amount was USD120,000. Three months after establishing a representative office in Shenzhen, China the rejection rate was reduced from 90% to under 10%, resulting in a purchase amount of USD1,080,000. After an additional three months, purchase volumes increased to USD1,600,000.
